Aircoat, Inc. established in 1963, is recognized in the Aerospace, Electronics, and Sheet Metal Industry as a supplier of Class “A” liquid painting, powder coating, and silk-screen processing. Our company specializes in the highest quality finishing of metal chassis, panels, frames, assemblies, plastics, and Mil-Spec. painting. Our customer base represents the leaders in the computer, aircraft, and medical fields. Today, Aircoat, Inc. employs 23 people and occupies a 10,000 square foot building in Los Angeles centralized between the 110 and the 105 freeway and north of the 91. We maintain a High Standard of Quality Control with 100% inspection from the time of receiving through shipment. We have the capacity for high volume runs and quick lead times to meet our customers needs and can provide pick-up and delivery service. Aircoat, Inc. has provided an equipment list for your review. Sonic Industries was founded in 1964, and is located in Torrance, CA. Sonic Industries produces fasteners, specialty bolts, fuse pins, nuts, and close tolerance machined products for commercial and military applications. Sonic is recognized as the World Leader in fuse pin technology™ with this unique offering having been designed into all of the latest generation Boeing commercial aircraft. Fuse pins are used to attach wings, rudder, horizontal stabilizer, engines, and landing gear to the aircraft structure. Fuse pins are specially designed to allow these attached structures to cleanly separate cleanly from the aircraft’s structure under a specific amount of overload to prevent more severe damage to the aircraft structure. Sonic’s manufacturing capabilities include hot forging (heading), grinding, honing, gun drilling, and thread rolling. One major differentiator is the extensive number of special processes that are performed in-house such as heat treat, shot peen, non-destructive testing (NDT), passivation, solid film lubrication, HVOF (High Velocity Oxy Fuel) coatings and finish grinding. These capabilities are backed up by extensive functional and environmental testing. Sonic specializes in precision high-strength threaded pins and fasteners manufactured from both standard and exotic materials including; Inconel®, titanium, 300M, 15-5PH, A-286, PH13-8Mo, Aermet® 100, Custom 465®, and numerous others. Sonic’s products are used in a wide range of aircraft applications including engine mounts, landing gear, leading edge, flap support, vertical & horizontal stabilizers. Sonic also produces a specialty offering in support of helicopter applications for the blade retention, control rods, swashplates, pitch rods, blade grip and trunnions. Sonic also services industrial applications such as the IBOP (Inside Blowout Preventer) ball valves for the oil and gas industries.
Semco Aerospace is a manufacturer of Aircraft and Automotive Seating components. Specifically, Semco’s products are primarily interactive pneumatically adjustable seat and lumbar support cushion systems and inflatable bladders for seat comfort adjustment. Semco or its predecessors have been the world’s largest producer of interactive seat cushions for the commercial aircraft industry since 1974. The cushions are controlled with a cable operated pushbutton control mounted in the seat armrest. When activated, and the seat occupant rests on the seat back, the cushion (and therefore the seat back) conforms to the shape of the occupant’s back providing total support for the lower spine. Semco’s automotive products are comprised of an electrically powered air pump, an electro-pneumatic switch or switches and one or more inflatable chambers utilized in a similar interactive system. Further Semco products include electric actuators for aircraft flight control systems and commercial aircraft first class seat adjustment systems. The company also has designed and produced FDA approved wheelchair seat adjustment and pressure control systems both in the seat bottom cushion and seat back. Semco has the ability to generate new solutions to a wide variety of motion control and seat adjustment systems.
